With the functional increasing of embedded handhold terminal products like PDA or mobile phone,powering consumption is also increasing.How to reduce the diversification of electronic products,increase the standby time of electronic products,a reliable power supply equipment has become one of the difficulties embedded products..This paper studies on the power management strategy of embedded portable devices and the low power consumption method for power distribution.The embedded system design based on OMAP-L138 dual core processor,the software platform is based on ARM-Linux operating system.The power management is OMAPL138,which designs power supply system with different sizes and levels of internal and external interface.The low power consumption mode is based on the power management chip of TPS65070.Timing output is based on L138.It designs power supply system with different voltage sizes for different peripheral circuit and the working mode of the system is designed to ensure that the whole system is in the optimal energy consumption.Finally,testing on the system software the hardware module based on the embedded development platform and the oscilloscope.Results show that the designed system can complete the scheduled function,and the power management chip set can reduce system power consumption.The power management strategy is feasible.
