Research Of Urban Patrol And Management System Based On Android And Augmented Reality Technology

With the development of the information technology, the urbanmanagement been into the information age. Nowadays, many cities in China use GIStechnology, instead of paper data, to manage their Urbaninformation in a visual spatial way.However, it require a height profection level to use the urban information management system baseon GIS technology. For this reason, we need a more convenient and directly way to manage the urban information. With the augmented reality technology and Mobile GIStechnology, we can overlay the government information, citizen reaction and external information on the real world, and it will be much vivider. And thanks for the popularity of smart phones, the requirement and study about field work system with mobile phones is abundant.In this paper we have studied the application of augmented reality technology in urban patrol and management which can be divided into three modules: task list module, two-dimensional maps module, and augmented reality module. In these modules, thetechnology about urban information management and mobile GIS has been researched so much. In the task list module, we use http brokenpoint continuinglytransferring technology to uploadthe reports. In the two-dimensional maps module, we use Arc GIS API for Android to show the map and provide functions of spatial query and attribute query. And the augmented reality module, the most important part, can be dividedinto two parts:three dimensional registration technology, using GPS and transducerto get the location of the object, and virtual information and the mix of real world, which require transport the three-dimensional into two-dimensional. Besides, we will also study the technology of Error correction, to fix the error oftransducer.
