"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness..."2 If we observe the era we are in from the aspect of relationship between new media and public and judicial justice,What Charles Dickens said in "A Tale of Two Cities" which is seemingly contradictory dialectical rhetoric is quite apt. Judicial justice, openness and independence play an irreplaceable role in maintaining judicial credibility, ensuring justice and human rights. Likewise, media supervision also affects the realization of the citizen's right to know. As people's democratic awareness arising and with the development of kinds of media platform, As we transfer information conveniently today, relying on the rising and the rapid development of Internet technology in the development of various new media, new media influence on public opinion has being played a more significant role than ever before. justice is the basic principle of the rule of law in any time, but the openness of judicial process as the main channle of judicial public trial is far from enough, so the information of the public in a single platform also is very limited. The emergence of new media makes a ripple effect of public opinion even more obvious, and supervision of the judicial activities is more obvious, so in this supervision environment, justice may be about to meet the unprecedented reform. At the same time, the turbulance caused by the immaturity of the new media which caused wrong information asymmetry that is generated by the impact of public opinion is also becoming increasingly apparent, which is the reason why there is the sharp conflict between judiciary and other social values in implementing open justice. From a point of view of law and justice, therefore, What new media brings more rapid public opinion than the traditional media, is a more sharp "double-edged sword”. On the one hand, it is helpful to promote the judicial justice; on the other hand it is also likely to obstruct justice. Today's judicial organs in the era of new media coming up could never trial one case only based on the law in the way, miraculously only in accordance with the law to break any a case, nor neglect the serge of public opinion in judicial activities. Instead, they should pay attention to the new media, make good use of emerging media, be rationally faced, and respond positively to public opinion when necessary, with "realism" courage and new media public opinion to dance in the era of information explosion. This article selects a social network-based case "tang hui case" on a micro blogging platform in recent years as the research object, focuses on the research in the era of new media and the influence public opinion makes on judicial fairness.
