The basic reality of electronic connector industry is labor intensive at present, with the rise of labor cost, to replace the artificial manufacture mode by automatic manufacture is the inevitable trend. The introduction of the characteristics of SMT series memory socket and the existed manufacture equipment, shows the necessity of developing automatic assembly and testing equipment. Based on SolidWorks 3D modeling technology, designing and developing the automatic assembly equipment for Narrow VLP SMT DDR3, and designing the PLC control system, and the AOI flatness detection system which can automatically determine the contact terminal flatness detection.Narrow VLP SMT DDR3 automatic assembly and inspection equipment was developed. For achieving the automatic assembly, complete the cam for inserting pin and the mechanism for pressing the contact. Develop the AOI flatness detection system for Narrow VLP SMT DDR3, through the clearance measurement of contact pin plane and the reference plane, realize automatic detection evaluation. Based on the double factor analysis of variance for equal repeat trials, using 6sigma quality analysis method, complete the Error analysis of the AOI flatness detection system. Select OMRON PLC and the WeinView interface MT6070 I as the core of the equipment control system. Complete the control system program development under the CX-Programmer software, and introduce part of the program. Using EasyBuilder 8000, complete the interface development, realize the motion and parameters etc. of the equipment to be controlled. By the motion simulation of the Carry shaking station with SolidWorks software, find the relation between the Carry shaking times and the Carry shaking time. By the combination of different Carry shaking times and eccentricity of eccentric wheel, find the best scheme(e=2.0mm, n=25) under which cost time is the least. Finally, through the statistics of the precision of manufacture, qualified rate& production capacity etc. in actual production, evaluate the automatic assembly equipment satisfied the design requirements.
