With the sustained and rapid growth of China's national economy, people's living standards has been improving,they pursue spiritual life more than material life. As an important part of the spiritual life, all kinds of forms of music plays a more and more important role in the public. Due to factors such as education, ideas, however, the people's music appreciation ability needs to be improved. In view of this, the research and design of this thesis is to convert the music into numbered musical notation,in order to reduce the difficulty of music learning and improve the appreciation ability of music lovers.There are three steps to be completed:(1) Capture and save the the audio signal;(2) The fundamental frequency will be extracted after fast Fourier transform(FFT) based on harmonic peak algorithm of the audio signal;(3) The fundamental wave frequency will be converted to the corresponding digital notes shown on the screen. The means of realization :(1) Using Matlab simulation platform, verify the feasibility of the design, determine and optimize the algorithms;(2) Realize the notes real-time display function based on single chip hardware platform, continue optimizing the algorithm;(3) Realize notes real-time display function based on the android smartphone at last.Based on "piano playing music", this design researches signal acquisition, signal storage, signal conversion and signal displaying.The design has realized real-time display function of the notes on android smartphone. There are still difficulty about transformation of symphony music. In the future, The study design will constantly improve numbered musical notation, achieve the purpose of real-time displaying a complete numbered musical notation finally. Afterwards,making a mature mobile phone software whic h will be downloaded by more people to use conveniently. User can gradually improve the music foundation by appreciating music from a single instrument.
