Research On Development Techniques Of SCORM Data Package Based On S1000D

Training is an important part of equipment support and training contents play an important role in the training which will affect the result directly. It is well known that training contents are developed from equipment technical materials. As the complexity of modern equipment increases, traditional paper technical materials can't satisfy the needs of modern equipment logistics support. So digital materials must be the development trend of the technical materials. And digital training will also be the developing direction of the equipment training.Among many authoring standards of digital technical materials, S1000 D is a widely approved standard because it accords with modular theory and reveal content's reuse. In education area, SCORM, which is widely accepted by many educator, also accords with modular theory and pays attention to the learning materials' reuse. So we propose an idea of developing training contents on the base of technical materials which accords with S1000 D and a specific developing model. According to the development model, we proposal main tasks and some techniques in the phrases.Finally, verify the model with examples. The result shows that the development model is rational and feasible, and the training content developed by the model can satisfy the expected requirement. The main work is shown as follows:(1) Study main content and core concepts of S1000 D and SCORM, and master the two standards' implementation process. Introduce three modern education theories with their characters, and analyze the influence they have on the development of actual course.(2) Propose SCORM data package development model based on S1000 D. Firstly,analyze the prophase work of course development i.e. tasks of analysis stage and design stage from education perspective. Then study the final implementation of whole course from IT perspective and propose some key techniques in the development process.(3) Verify the SCORM data package development model with samples. Develop sample course with civil engine maintenance course to test it and evaluate the result.
