Design And Implementation Of Case Management System For Fangshan Committee Of Discipline Investigation

As one of the core work of the committee of discipline investigation, case management is of great value to avoid problems like clues loss, cases without check or even clues for self-serving. With the continuous development of society, disadvantages of the traditional manual methods to deal with cases are becoming more and more prominent. Because of its inherent characteristics of hysteresis and passivity, it has a certain degree of limitations for the internal supervision in ensuring the standardization of law enforcement. In this way, it is not possible to make a direct, synchronous, real-time and whole process of supervision of law enforcement investigators. Therefore, the construction of intensive management system has become the inevitable development direction of the discipline inspection and supervision work.On the basis of the analysis of the actual business needs of Fangshan committee of discipline investigation and the technical investigation, we constructed a case management system with security and confidentiality which was based on database and network and it had a range of functions including information sharing, strict internal control and storage of cases. The system used a layered enterprise J2 EE framework based on Java technology, and combined the technology of workflow engine with B/S structure. It was mainly based on J2 EE enterprise application development framework in accordance with international as well as national standards for software developing and information security. This system was independent of the operating system and database platforms. Thus, it could be deployed to the common computer operating system platform with portability feature.This paper elaborates the whole process of the design and development of the case management system, and presents the test results in the last chapter. After the functional test and regression test, it confirmed that the basic functions of each module of this system were stable and the main business process can be passed. Although there are some performance issues, it can meet all the requirements and target of the project. Thus, it can be used in case management of committee of discipline investigation. In fact, some of the remaining issues still exist in the data management and data query module of the system. Although these issues not affect the use of the system, they still need to be improved continuously.
