Wireless sensor nodes are the core components of Wireless Sensor Network(WSN).Stable operation of the nodes is the fundamental conditions of network's reliability.One kind of wireless sensor node with battery monitor function is designed for the smart home application in this thesis.The main work of reaserch is listed as follows:1.An wireless sensor node that comprises of a minimized CC2530 core board,battery board,sensor expansion board and a single lithium battery is designed.To design impedance matching circuit of the CC2530 RF module,the radio frequency simulation software ADS is applied.Throught test using network analyzer,a high emission power and a low packet loss in indoor communication are possessed by the sensor node.2.A communication protocol for intelligent home system is proposed to achieve the communication between equipments with different operating systems and different hardware architecures in the intelligent home system.3.Wireless sensor node software based on TinyOS for intelligent home operating system is designed.Household appliances and lighting are controlled through learning remote control.The intelligent home system features various functions including the detection of indoor temperature,humidity,light intensity,toxic gas concentration collection and security alarm.4.DS2786 chip is used in the battery board for acquisition of battery discharge current and voltage.Extended kalman filtering algorithm is applied to monitor the single lithium battery used by a node online.The comparison result between the common discharge curve of battery stored in the DS2786 chip and the discharge curve getting from the algorithm shows a less than 3%deviation.On a control terminal based on Android operating system a single thread is created to receive the data of battery SOC coming from the gateway in smart home system,then the battery SOC information of all nodes in the intelligent home system is shown on the control terminal.
