Wireless Sensor Network is a hotspot issue in the research of communication. There is anextraordinary significance to build the hardware platform and the software system under domesticcommunication standards. However, the current nodes in the domestic research stage have someshortcomings, such as weak computing power, poor communication performance, high-powerconsumption, and so on. Little of them can support to IEEE802.15.4c standard in China WPANband. In the consequence, it will be difficult to cope with increasingly complex applicationrequirements.Based on analysis of Wireless Sensor Network Operation System TinyOS, this thesis designs anew TinyOS node platform, which has long-distance communication, excellent wirelessperformance, ultra-low-power, low cost and other advantages. Due to complying with IEEE802.15.4c standard in China WPAN band, the platform will provide a good experimentinfrastructure for the research and development of Wireless Sensor Network, aiming at the poorperformance of current node platform. Through analysis of the hardware characteristics of thesensor nodes, this thesis design a sensor node platform, which has a main part with MSP430F5419Aas its master controller and AT86RF212as its RF transceiver, equipped with MPU-6050sensor,TR800Gateway, and other modules. The application circuits of these modules are all designed.Based on analyzing the program language, Hardware Abstraction Architecture and the compilationprocess of TinyOS, this thesis ports TinyOS into this platform step by step via a general methodwhich can be applied to the porting operation of other hardware platform. This thesis also uses thecommon radio components library to achieve the RF transceiver function based on IEEE802.15.4cstandard. Due to underlying independent, this method can provide design reference for other RFdevice driver development. Moreover, by testing the communication performance and the networkfunction in actual environments, the thesis analyzes the applicable environment for the platform,and explains potential problems. Finnaly, the thesis gets the advantages and the disadvantages ofthis platform by comparing with other TinyOS node platform. There are different levels of referencefor the hardware design and application software development of TinyOS in this thesis.
