The completion of human genome project and publication of a large number of the human genome sequences have opened the way to provide scientific evidences for human to know themselves, master physical laws, diagnose or treat diseases, understand disease mechanisms and comprehend the origin of life. Especially, the discovery of disease-related genome sequences makes molecular diagnostic techniques which apply gene sequences as testing materials become the most commonly used method in the field of disease diagnosis. Moreover, fully automatic diagnosis instruments based on molecular diagnostic techniques, with its particular advantages in large quantities and high efficiency of sample detection and can realize the integration of sample preparation, target sequence amplification, signal detection, and experimental result analysis, playing an important role in the field of disease diagnosis and treatment. This paper, based on the analysis of some domestic and foreign advanced molecular diagnostic instruments in combination with our own laboratory experimental conditions and actual needs, has designed and developed an upper-computer software which can be applied to molecular diagnostic instruments. The main contents of this paper include:Firstly, according to the laboratory application demands to determine the implementation framework and main function modules of this software, the function modules were divided into four parts:login module, data management module, experiment design module and scene simulation module; Secondly, designing the realization process and related function class libraries for each function module; Thirdly, completing the design of man-machine interactive interface, including the login interface, function selection interface, experimental design interface and scene simulation interface, as well as some custom controls which were designed for the realization of special function; Finally, writing codes for the entire PC system and designing database for managing users and projects data. The completion of performance testing and validation of each module and the overall system, shows that the PC software system can well complete the desired function and meet the technical requirements, which lay a solid foundation for the next step to apply to the automatic molecular diagnostic equipment.
