Diagnostic Molecular Biology is an intercross subject among the clinical medicine, laboratory medicine and molecular biology, whose theory and technology are infiltrated with other subjects and applied fully in each subject and area. Multimedia Computer Association Instruction (MMCAI) provides a new means for teaching method and teaching reform with the application and the popularization of computer. Multimedia Computer Association Instruction (MMCAI) was built in 1990s', which was a combined product between multimedia technique and multimedia computer association instruction technique after the developing of multimedia technique. MMCAI not only is an application area, but represents a new kind of education technique and way. The most advantage of MMCAI is its independence, intercrossing, flexibility and variety. The subject properties and teaching contents of diagnostic molecular biology are abstract and sophisticated, which are the contradictory focuses between teaching and study. In order to overcoming the difficulty of study, improving teaching quality and initiating the interests of students, we carried on this research program from National Higher Education Committee, developed a teaching software using multimedia developing tools for Diagnostic Molecular Biology.The exploration of our software adopted MFC as hardware platform, Chinese Windows 2000 professional as operating system, Authorware 6.0 as multimedia development tool, Photoshop 6.0 , CorelDraw 10.0 as image disposal tool,Flash 5 as animation fabrication tool, Goldwave as voice dealingtool. The advantages of this software are direct image, reciprocity, friendly interface and wide adaptation.We mainly solved some technical problems such as self-adjustment of resolution, the realization of learning progress recording, the methods of controlling voice, the non-synchronous transport speed of animation and the acquirement of navigation.The software may not only serve for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Medicine, but as a reference for clinical laboratory doctors. The development and application of our software will improve teaching instruction on Diagnostic Molecular Biology.
