Precision balls have become important component in advanced bearings,valves,flow meter,gyroscope and accurate measuring element.In particular,the high-precision balls are widely used in the ball bearings because of their excellent compositive performances.Therefore,the demand for precision balls increases rapidly for the demand of precision machine tools,equipment and other industries precision moving parts.There is the urgent requires for processing of high-precision technology and reasonable process parameters.According to the above situations,dual-roated plates lapping mode is presented by Ultra-precision Machining Research Center of the Zhejiang university of technology.Thus it improves high machining accuracy and efficiency to a large extent.The difficult problem is solved from principles and processes into a ball.It is very necessary for us to further make an inquiry for the faultiness in lapping uniformity on dual-roated plates lapping mode.The paper uses the virtual prototype technology to do dynamic simulation during the process of the machining ball based on rotated dual-plates lapping mode.The lapping uniformity is studied by lapping uniformity function standard deviation.Based on the above-mentioned research achievements,it analyzes that mesh generation density give impact on lapping uniformity standard devation through ADAMS parametric design.The reasonable mesh generation density is calculated on the evaluation of the lapping uniformity.This provides the assurance for the study of lapping uniformity.This paper discusses that the groove angle,?0(ball radius to revolution radius in proportion)and roated speed of inner and outer lapping plates affect the lapping track uniformity.By single factor analysis,the best parameter combination is obtained between the groove angle,?0 and roated speed of inner and outer lapping plates.Also the optimal interval of the ball diameter focusing on specific lapping plates.Finally,the simulated parameter combination is checked out by the ball maching experiments.The experimental results show the correctness of the simulated method.It is employed to improve the high machining accuracy.It provides valuable theoretic instruct and technical support for processing technology of precision ball mass production in practice and further study on dual-roated plates lapping mode.
