Design And Implementation Of Wireless Network Video Capture Terminal By Domestic SOC SEP6300A

With the rapid development of integrated circuits and network technology, video capture terminalshave become embedded, networked, intelligent,andwith high-definition, and widely used in intelligent buildings, industrial and mining enterprises, home security, traffic regulation, and other fields. Andwith the popularity of wireless local area network, the design of video capture terminal based on wireless network has become a hot research topic.SEP6300A,a processor with independent intellectual property rights, was choosed as the main controller ofa wireless network video capture terminal in this paper.The video capture terminalcompressed the original data from the image sensor and the microphone at first, and then, packed the video and audio data for transmition. At last, sent all packed data to the remote video monitoring platform througha wire or wireless network.This solution waswith low production cost, relatively high integration and stableperformance. In the paper, the hardware and software design solution for the terminal were described in details.The main functions of this terminal includecapturing video and audio data synchronously, packing video data in MJPEG format and audio data in ADPCM format, sending them to the mobile monitoring terminal through the WiFi network, receiving the control commands from the mobile monitoring terminal and software upgrading from the wireless network.The test result shows that thecapture terminal can stably transmit standard definition(640 X 480 resolution) video with MJPEG format at above 10fps frame rate and 16bit mono audio with ADPCM format in 16kHz sampling rate under 40meter distance of wireless WiFi network connection.
