As the next-generation optical transport application technology, the automatically switched optical network is gained wide attention. The signaling technique is one of the key techniques for ASON. It has high practical significance to research this technique.First, this paper analyzes and compares the advantage and disadvantage of several existing signaling protocol. Describe the detail of resource reservation protocol with traffic engineer and investigate the main message, object and process behave of this protocol.Then basing on RSVP-TE protocol this paper design and implement the RSVP signaling processing module. Beginning from signaling processing module architecture, this paper design the interface detail between signaling module and other supporting module, design the main data structure in low level, and investigate the signaling processing module initialization and message processing general way. For RSVP-TE key messages Path and Resv, this paper study these processing and show the elaboration.Finally analysis the issue found in the extreme load test environment. Find that it is very easy to create memory fragmentation in current memory allocate system, and these memory fragmentation issue would become very serious under stress test environment, in this case the ASON system will crash, and the recovery function is failed. While, this paper also find the memory buffer would be overflow under stress test environment as current buffer management lack one good anti-stress mechanism. The overflow issue would cause ASON traffic recovery failure when this system restarts.For the memory fragmentation problem, according to the Hungarian algorithm benefit and software coding and debug experience, I creates one new pool collection memory allocation method, which could avoid memory fragmentation happens. For the buffer overflow issue under stress test environment, it designs one anti-stress mechanism according to feedback mechanisms and this mechanism could deal with the impact of enormous signal packets smoothly and reliably. These packets are produced under stress test environment. With this anti-stress mechanism, it could ensure the ASON recovery function running well under restart operation.
