Online Social Media And Its Governance Research Under The Background Of Risk Society

Talking about globalization today, "the Internet" is undoubtedly the most simple and direct synonym.Faced with the surging big data environment,the online social media growing as sudden as lightning and introduce new continuously,as the representative product of the development and application of new technologies.The internet enlist the public across time just using a few meters of cable,and let "microblogging" swept through almost every corner of the world in just four years,revolutionized the production and transmission of human network cultural information.The development of the online social media is not only rich the information resources, opening the communication space,but also closer community relations, saving social costs,and finally advantageously promote the progress and development of society.However, with the continuous development and improvement of high-tech,modern industrialization mass product “risk”,and growing along with the deepening of globalization.The dual character of social media network doomed that,it not only offer convenience to public life,but also threatened the citizen privacy, market healthy competition, Party and government's credibility and social stability.Based on the background of the risk society, this article firstly proposed the new concept of online social media.Detailed analysis the important role of online social media in today's society,by contrast the development of online social media between domestic and foreign. Secondly,discussed the specific reasons about why online social media can be able to take root and grow in China,based on the summarizes of four main characteristics: virtual, real-time basis, openness and democracy. Then,on the one hand,summarized the positive effects of online social media:powerful deepen social interaction, effectively promote the "crisis communication", contribute the building of democracy;on the other hand,summarized the negative effects of online social media,like:competing interests, the breeding ground for language violence,the breach of national security and the loss of social credibility.And list examples about domestic and foreign to certify the above conclusion.Finally,this article summarized the dual character of online social media and proposed that China should make the best use of the advantages of online social media,and let it consciously undertake the task to avoiding and breaking the risk fragment filled in post-modern society.Specific measures includes:1)innovate core science and technology,avoid the risk of invasion;2)breaking the opinion of risk, to establish a consciousness of cyber-democracy;3)eliminate the risk of speculation, reforming networking opportunities;4)adhere to the "media governance", leading the new trend of social media networks.
