Design And Implementation Of Online Training And Examination System For Bank Tellers

With the reform of banking system, electronic and information engineering has a comprehensive coverage in banking business. Diversified business offers a broad and brilliant prospect for banks. Meanwhile, the requirements for bank tellers have become increasingly high along with the expanded fields of bank business. The traditional and pyramid style training has been unable to reach the qualification of bank tellers. Accordingly, how to adopt an advanced and scientific training manner has become a hot topic in the bank regulatory agencies and technology sectors.In the light of the current training management of commercial bank tellers and with the background of a provincial branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, this thesis designs a system of online training and examination for bank tellers through in-depth studying and researching various patterns of training and examination. First of all, The system analyzes the issues that the bank tells encounters when they attend the online training and examination. Moreover, it assays the business needs from the respective of teller port and management port. Secondly, this system takes the roles and authority levels into account in the design, and conceives from the aspect of teller module, management module, application service module, intermediate layer server module and initial loader service module. Furthermore, it contrives the system from the points of database, performance of system, usability and extensibility of system, and ultimately it makes a realization of online training and examination for bank tellers. The core functions of the system are mainly includes: announcement of important issues, maintenance of business knowledge, vocational studies,training and examination of business course, unified examination for all bank staff, achievement filling, achievement analysis, management of test bank, statistical analysis of report and so on. By implementing the online banking training and examination system, it can achieve the effects of wide coverage, full range, low input and high output.B/S model is utilized in this system, and which logically uses three layer structure model of customer, application service and database. Besides, The system makes a centralized management to all learning materials, courseware, parameters and report data by applying Informix, Oracle, Sybase and other large database management system. With the usage of TCP / IP protocol and data exchange of application service layer, it is capable of realizing the customizable menu driven, synchronous of learning materials, course list and database server. The management port of the system conducts the centralized managemen t and maintenance through selecting database client tools, programming of Power Builder and accessing database server with specific interface of database.On the basis of exploiting the existing equipment of the bank, online banking training and examination system provides a convenient shortcut for the learning and training of bank tellers, and greatly saves cost for the bank gives a management, learning and training to the bank tellers. Various operation interfaces, which show few differences in the original interface, are employed in the customer port and management port. To sum up, this system is easy to learn, understand, operate, manage and maintain.
