With the speedy developments of computer technology and automation technology of late years, robot technology also made significant progress. As an important component of robot, robot arm received many researchers'attention from different departments and was used widely.This paper studies the using of flight joystick to operate remotely the robot arms. The main components of the robot arm control system are:two mechanical arms, a flight joystick, a PC, an Arduino board, six servos, four stepper motors, and a smart Wifi module. The servo and stepper motor will be used as the joints of the robot arm. With the flight joystick as the manipulator, the smart WiFi module will be used to communicate the Arduino board and PC. By pushing the button on the flight joystick, the PC will transmit instructions to Arduino board through upper machine, then the board will command the servo and stepper motor to operate accordingly to control remotely the robot arm.The differences between this robot arms and the usual one are:Firstly, there are two mechanical rams in this robot arm control system. Therefore unlike that with only one arm, it can meet the complexity and intelligence of work and elevate the flexibility of the system. Secondly, using the flight sticker as the manipulator, it can achieve linkage and promote greatly the controlling experience. Thirdly, with WiFi to control wirelessly, the robot arm control system can be used more widely.
