In order to accomplish the accurate and real-time positioning and tracking of interested targets, monopulse angle estimation technology is widely applied in two-dimensional phased array radar. With the demand for higher data processing speed and the increasing amount of data quantity of modern radar system, traditional single core digital signal processor cannot meet the actual needs. Multicore digital signal processor have the advantages of high performance, low power consumption, strong parallel processing capability, and rich peripheral resources, which can fit the demands of the modern radar system properly. The angle estimation of modern phased array radar is characterized by multichannel, large data quantity, and high complexity of algorithm, the research on the two-dimensional phased array radar monopulse angle measurement technology based on multicore DSP has a certain theoretical significance and engineering application value.This thesis is based on the principle of monopulse angle estimation technology of two dimensional phased array, the design of multithread two-dimensional monopulse angle estimation algorithm on multicore DSP platform is completed with the actual needs of a radar system. Specific work is listed as follows:(1) Phased array model and the theory of beamforming technology are explained. And then, the theoretical derivations of sum-difference phase-comparison monopulse angle estimation algorithm, sum-difference amplitude-comparison monopulse angle estimation algorithm, and two-dimensional sum-difference monopulse angle estimation algorithm are carried out. The detailed simulation and influencing factors analysis of two-dimensional sum-difference angle estimation algorithm is presented.(2) Based on the principle of two-dimensional sum-difference monopulse angle estimation algorithm, and combined with multicore multithreaded programming idea, a multicore multithreaded two-dimensional sum-difference monopulse angle estimation method is designed on the multicore DSP hardware platform. The specific implementation process and diagram of two-dimensional sum-difference monopulse angle estimation procedure on multicore DSP is presented.(3) On the basis of C programming language, using Open MP technology, the multicore multithreaded programming of two-dimensional sum-difference monopulse angle estimation algorithm is accomplished, the function of multithreaded angle measurement is realized. Make full use of the parallel computing capability of multicore DSP, enhance the calculating efficiency of the system. The calculating results of multicore DSP are compared with the MATLAB, and the correctness and feasibility of the algorithm has been verified.(4) The precautions and optimizations of multicore multithreaded program design on multicore DSP platform are also introduced at the end of this thesis.The result shows that the multithreaded two-dimensional sum-difference monopulse angle estimation algorithm is correct and feasible, has a certain engineering application value.
