With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,the performance of the antenna plays a decisive role in the entire communication system.The wider the scanning angle of the phased array antenna,the wider its coverage area and the smaller the scanning blind area.At the same time,conformal array technology can realize the miniaturization,portability and stealth design of the antenna based on the carrier platform.Therefore,this article has carried out in-depth research on the wide-angle conformal phased array antenna,and its main content includes the following parts:First of all,this article introduces the research background and current situation of wide-angle phased array antennas,conformal phased array antennas and sparse array.The basic theory of the array antenna,the active voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR)and the active radiation pattern of the phased array antenna are discussed in depth.Secondly,in order to clearly state the design process,starting from the planar structure of the array design,the front and rear wing conformal phased array antennas based on the wing carrier platform are designed.This conformal phased array antenna is composed of half-wave dipole antenna elements as the radiating element of the array,and by adding a microstrip Marchand balun to realize the impedance conversion from the feed end to the antenna end while broadening the bandwidth.At the same time,by introducing coupling patch and frequency selective surface(FSS)to reduce the active VSWR during scanning.In order to improve the directivity of the antenna,a dual director structure is added to the array.Finally,the front and rear wing conformal phased array antennas were processed and tested in physical objects,and the results are in good agreement with the simulation.Thirdly,an improved rear-wing conformal phased array antenna is designed to meet the requirements of widening the bandwidth and reducing the quality of the rear-wing conformal phased array antenna.This array improves the rectangular FSS into a I-shaped,and cuts and grooves the medium to achieve the weight reduction requirement while broadening the bandwidth by 50%.The final antenna realizes that the active VSWR is less than 2.5 when the antenna is scanned±60°within the frequency band of 0.875?1.042f0,and the active VSWR is less than 3.5 when scanning within the frequency band of 0.833?1.083f0 to achieve±60°.In addition,the 3d B lobe width of the H-plane pattern with operating frequency f0 is less than 118?.Finally,the sparse arrangement of the array is realized by genetic algorithm,and the array is sparsely arranged and simulated.At the same time,the influence of the wing deformation caused by actual take-off and landing on the antenna performance is simulated.It is realized that the active VSWR of each element and the radiation pattern of the array perform well when the rear wing is sparse and conformal.
