SNMP-based Network Traffic Monitoring System

With the continuous development of computer technology, the complexity of the network is also improved, so the security of the network has also been widely recognized by people. In the era of hackers, how to establish a safe network environment is a topic of concern, the network traffic monitoring is a key part of network security. Through the monitoring of the traffic flow to the network to grasp the operation of the network, the network security issues to be monitored, the network security management. Network traffic monitoring is to collect the network traffic data, and analyze the collected data, and get the flow state information, on the basis of the network traffic management. In this paper, we design and implement a network traffic monitoring system based on SNMP.Firstly, on the subject of the project background, project purpose, project significance, project status at home and abroad, project content analysis; then to system design and implementation process of the key technologies involved are introduced; and the system of overall design, detailed design, and the realization of the system; then the system were tested on the problems found in the testing process to be addressed; finally, the project work is summarized, and the prospect of the future research.The main achievecontent of this thesis is:SNMP-based network monitoring system, based on VC platform, programming language is C++, the database is MYSQL.design and implementation of network traffic monitoring system mainly includes the function modules: data acquisition module, graphics rendering module, real-time monitoring module. The main function is to achieve the network traffic, CPU utilization and memory usage statistics, and realize the alarm function.to realize the function of monitoring and control multiple machines, this function is based on the multi document interface programming technology.The realization of the system has achieved the expected function, and in the practical use, the operation is stable.
