With the continuous development and improvement of network video applications,the user demand tend to gradually tilt from the traditional Web browsing,e-mail to audio,video and other multimedia services.Video business is increasingly dominant in the Mobile Internet. Such a huge media traffic is bound to increase the burden on the bandwidth of IP networks,it will directly affects the user's Internet experience especially in the face of network congestion. Therefore, effective monitoring and controlling to the video traffic on the network are of great significance,whether in research or application areas.This thesis firstly analyses the key technologies in network streaming media in detail,then makes depth studies about two typical different streaming video(HTTP stream and RTP stream) under two kinds of streaming transmission architecture(C/S and P2P).The system makes analysis and design three functions to this two kinds of video's identification and restorement and video backdate. And it gives the implementation of Web browser-based video surveillance and traceback system.It is intended to make depth analysis and reduction to LAN users' video access information from the real-time video monitoring and statistical analysis of the two dimensions,allows the administrator to efficiently and conveniently manage video traffic.The System also provides a Web front-end access mechanism and design corresponding front-end module for three major functions.The web modules are designed for simple and visual display for the back-end business data.While it adopts user rating policy,different users possess distinct system authority.This provides a proven solution for monitoring network video traffic.
