GSM-R is the abbreviation of GMS for Railway, adding the corresponding exclusive function of railway dispatching communication based on the second generation global system for mobile communications(Global System for mobile communication) according to the requirements and application characteristics of railway transportation dispatch.Existing railways in China mainly uses vehicle radio dispatching communication system of 450 MHz to achieve operational links among vehicles. With the construction and development of Chinese high-speed railway and passengers transport railway, mixing operations of trains between the high-speed railway and general speed railway is present.Therefore, vehicle radio dispatching communication system does not only need to meet the requirements of GSM-R system, but also need to meet the requirements of wireless dispatching communication system of 450 MHz. But wireless dispatching communication system of 450 MHz can't be used in high-speed railway, which created a new technical problem to combine high-speed railway with the general speed railway.At present, the GSM-R network system has already been maturely used in high-speed railway communication system. Now how can the GSM-R be used in general speed vehicles and ban existing wireless dispatching communication system of 450 MHz, and ultimately achieve comprehensive coverage of Chinese railway system by the GSM-R. All above have profound influences on the development of Chinese railway. GSM-R system creates a qualitative change for transmission efficiency of railway dispatching communication system,greatly improving the communication quality, reducing system interference and effectively enhancing the safety of railway dispatching communication, reducing operating and maintenance costs of the railway. All these keep the railway dispatching communication system better and more efficiently severing for railway transport. GSM-R communication system is not only an inevitable product of the development of railway dispatching communication, but also a necessary choice of railway dispatching communication development. This paper elaborates GSM-R radio communication system in combination with the application of GSM-R communication system in Liu Dun railway.In this paper, I grasp the GSM-R system structure, stations coverage, disposal of interference and networking combining the practical application of GSM-R in high-speed railway by searching information. I provide some suggestions and sites selection principlesabout coverage of communities, frequency allocation, selecting plan of base station sites combining with the practical application of Liu Dun Railway. we put forward relevant solutions about the interfere generated from GSM-R radio coverage. We also make comparisons about different coverage ways of wireless networks. It is proved that the use of the GSM-R radio communication system in the general speed railway can not only reduce operating costs and maintenance costs,but also can provide a safer and more effective transport services for the railway dispatching communication according to the analysis and research of GSM-R combining with the application of GSM-R system in Liu Dun railway.Which not only lay a solid foundation for the future universal application of GSM-R system in railway dispatching communication system, but also provide engineering construction of GSM-R in general railway with some basis.
