Research On The Application Of Base Station Coverage Extension System In Wireless Networks Coverage And Optimization

With the increasing demand and requirement on the quality of mobile communication, which requires operators to improve the quality of mobile communication networks and expand coverage. How to improve the quality of mobile communication networks and expand coverage, it has become an important topic for the operators. If simply by increasing the number of expensive base stations, it will increase in operating costs, particularly in the areas of traffic not to raise the competitiveness of operators is very adverse. In this paper,A Base Station Coverage-extension System is to resolve the pressing need for operators, on the one hand it can make a decrease in the number of base stations under construction, on the other hand, it can make the base stations which have been built a larger coverage area, so as to improve the quality of existing networks and improve customer satisfaction.The Base station coverage-extension system is composed of tower mounted amplifier ,power amplifier, power supply system and relevant monitoring units. It achieves the purpose of expanding the coverage of base station through a high power ultra-linear power amplifier, which, installed in machine room, amplifies downlink signal and strengthens signal's penetration into barriers; it also adds a tower mounted amplifier at the front end of the receiving system in support of base station power amplifier to enhance the uplink received sensitivity and to keep the balance of uplink and downlink of base station, thus attaining the purpose of reducing uplink noise,increasing uplink gain, and improving receivingperformance.In this paper,we also design a maintenance and operation system to provide the information query and parameter setting for engineer.It is helpful for trouble shooting and controlling the Base Station Coverage-extension System.
