With the large-scale ground parabolic antenna widely used in the field of deep space exploration and national defense construction, each country pays more and more attention to the performance of antenna. When the parabolic antenna which is long-term exposure to the external environment is in direct sunlight, thermal deformation occurs in the nightside and sunny side of the structure because of uneven temperature, resulting in great reduction the of the reflecting surface accuracy, and ultimately affecting the electrical properties of the antenna. In order to ensure the normal operation of the antenna, it is necessary to reduce the influence of the thermal deformation on the antenna. It is very difficult to prevent the thermal deformation of the structure from the source, so this thesis proposes a solution based on compensation, and designs the corresponding antenna monitoring system which is mainly composed of two parts: hardware platform and PC monitoring software.Hardware platform mainly consists of IPC(Industrial Personal Computer), intelligent data collectors, temperature sensors and ACU(Antenna Control Unit). According to the requirements of engineering practice and electrical performance indicators, this thesis chooses the appropriate hardware, carries on the reliability design and sensor calibration for it, achieves the acquisition of temperature data based on the RS485 bus asynchronous half duplex,and achieves the acquisition of azimuth and elevation.This thesis uses C# language in VS2010 for software platform, based on C/S architecture and modular design idea, by the Multithreading, profile technology and software integration, achieves data acquisition, display, storage, query, export, temperature curve drawing, temperature cloud drawing, node definition, node detection and other functions.This thesis also designs a thermal deformation compensation mechanism based on the data matching algorithm. In addition, according to the monitoring system requirements, this thesis designs tables of node temperature, node information, compensation of sensor temperature, compensation of electrical properties and other tables in the SQL Server database.After completing the design for hardware and software platform, the sensors and data collectors are installed on the experimental antenna, and the construction of the large field antenna is completed according to the experience of installation. Aiming at the problems in engineering, this thesis puts forward solutions to ensure the normal operation of the monitoring system.Currently, the system has been successfully applied in the thermal compensation for antenna. The temperature field through inversion based on the measured data and the corresponding deformation value provides the basis for both the temperature effect analysis and the realization of thermal control technology, which serve large parabolic antennas and other engineering structures.And Test results of racking star show that the point correction given by the system can improve the electrical performance of the antenna to some extent.
