With the successful launch of the China sat-9 ,a large number of people will be served the convenience ,cheap and high-quality satellite direct-broadcasting TV. It indicates that China is moving into the direct broadcast satellite time , meanwhile, it makes more demands on ground station, how to make sure the parabolic dish antenna point the satellite accurately in a short time while the the quality of signal will not drop. That is a problem which calls for immediate solution.This project is designed to control the minitype parabolic dish antenna,it is a automatic antenna pointing system which combines the computer technology and control technology effectively .In this system ,we use cradle head as antenna servo, the earth position including longitude and latitude is derived from GPS, and the elevation angle is offered by elevation angle sensor while the azimuth is provided by electronic compass, we also need interface circuit and application software which is based on VC++ in this project.Using this system will avoid manual operation which takes a lot of time and trouble, and the human-computer interaction interface is designed clearly ,so what we need to do is just click some buttons and then we can finish the work quickly and accurately, thus this system has a wide scope of application.
