Design And Implementation Of Restaurant Management System Based On Android

With the development of science and technology, the catering industry has experienced the strong impact from the Internet. On account of the traditional ways of operating, its efficiency couldn't keep up with the pace. The high cost of information technical transformation become one of the most important factor which hinder the development of the traditional catering industry. The purpose of this paper is to provide a complete set of informational solutions for traditional catering industry through the limited cost control, which the working efficiency of traditional catering industry.Firstly, this paper studies the theory of restaurant management system and introduce the related technologies used in this system. The whole framework of this system is MVC mode. It uses the MySQL database to store data. The client portion uses Android operating system and the Web server portion uses Tomcat server. Among them, the server and the database use JDBC way to create connection. Then, this paper analysis designs and implements the restaurant management system. Among them,the paper makes an investigation into front desk service, kitchen business, daily management and entrepot management. According to the analysis of the system, we abstract out the functions that the system needs to be implemented. Finally, the system is divided into three basic functions:the wireless order client module, the kitchen client module and the background management system module. Two parts including the sales statistics and entrepot management were added into Background management system. Among them, Sales statistics function includes the performance of the staff, the number of restaurants and the number of daily flow of information statistics. It is displayed by means of histogram and curve graph. These functions facilitate the restaurant operators to see the restaurant business situation and the management of the entrepot. That makes the system function further improvement. Finally, implements every function module.The restaurant management system, which is based on Android, has injected new impetus to the development of traditional catering Industry with its unique advantages of platform. By using this platform, the level of the service of the entire industry can be improved. As it can be seen, this advantage is not limited to the traditional catering Industry. It can also provides enlightenment for informational process of other industries.
