As the fast development of higher education institute, building an updated website for campus information turns to be an important part of the university/college construction. Tianjin Land Resources and House Vocational College made a campus informational construction plan. This plan focus on the freshmen welcome system.Comparing with the traditional freshmen welcome system, the hardest parts are too many departments are involved and high work intensity. The disadvantages of paper based register system are time consuming, labor intensive. Furthermore, these data is not update immediately and potentially more mistakes.Therefore, design a scientific, overall consideration, high efficiency digital freshmen welcome system through information technology is getting more and more important. The digital freshmen welcome system can keep all data updated and integrate. The efficiency and quality of this work has been improved and this digital freshmen welcome system can share the data without delays. This digital new freshmen welcome system not only reduced the labor intensity also made the process model easily to be add/reduce any useful model timely. Students' information can be shared and coordination between departments. The service of this system is more convenient for parents and students.Database technology, J2EE open architecture, combination of J2EE and web application was used in this system. Based on SHH framework lightweight architecture and further study and analyze was made this system is optimized and innovated. All these functions and models are tested from web layers, business layer, database layer. The information island problem is resolved.Because B/S working model is used in this system, there is no need for installation in most operation system and independent to operation system. High development efficiency, high system expansibility is advantages of this system. Any system arrangement can be done at any operation system. Based on SHH framework architecture, static modeling is simulated for sub-module and dynamic modeling is simulated for system functions. Freshmen register, payment management, dorm arrangement, major selection, data statistic analysis etc functions are designed in these system.
