Today, the Internet is no longer the traditional sense of the Internet. With the rapid development of information technology, Internet has evolved into "The Internet of Things", which refers to uniquely identifiable objects (Things) and their virtual representations in an Internet-like structure. The school's various management nodes can be understood as the things of one unit. Modernization of information management has become an important factor into the university's teaching, researching and management.Along with the prosperous development of the higher vocational education, the recruitment of students scale unceasingly expands, and the number of students significantly increases, so how the information management systems realizing the modern student information management has become a trend. In this paper, according to the needs of Jiangsu Radio and Television University of Tongzhou College student management, elaborated on the system needs, designing ideas and implementation methods, this paper develops a suitable student management information system for higher vocational colleges. It is verified that this system can improve the quality of education and the level of school's management.As a comprehensive student information management system, our system is composed of seven modules, including the student information management, performance management, incentive management, work-study management, which is suitable for all of the student management departments and all of the teachers and students. Based on B/S model and J2EE architecture, combined with Oracle lOg database and with WebWork+Spring+Hibernate as the MVC framework, our system achieves the goals of the dynamic management of student management information and statistical functions. It is proved that the system is a scientific and efficient student management information system.
