With the continuous improvement of radar technology, it's getting more and more difficult for the traditional testing method for the radar system to meet the current needs.Becase of the huge cost and long time spending of traditional testing methods, the low cost and high efficiency radar signal simulator is widely used in modern radar system's testing work. The general radar signal simulator is composed of the instrument and radar signal simulator software, and has many advantages, such as economical and practical, and various forms. The development of the instrument has been very mature,so it is very significant to develop a kind of radar signal simulation software,which is of strong extensibility?high integration and good universalityAt first, I discussed the requirement analysis of radar signal simulation software, and presents a design of radar signal simulation software, which can simulate radar transmitting signals and echo signals. The designed radar signal simulation software is divided into three module:the Signal Processing Module,for simulating the specific signal data requiring by users; The Interface Module,responsible for data communication between the software and the outside; Interactive Module,responsible for the software interface display,providing a friendly interactive experience for the users. Secondly, describe signal processing models in software,including radar transmit signal model, antenna model, target model, clutter model, jam model and noise model in details.Then,, the design and implementation of radar signal simulation software based on MFC framework of the Studio Visual 2010 are discussed in detail,and design functions and logical implementation process of each sub module. At last,design testing system and cases for the software, executive Black box testing to verify the correctness and reliability of the softwareCompared with similar signal simulation software, the radar signal simulation software, constituting general radar signal simulator with many instruments, which can simulate a variety of complex radar transmitting signals and radar echo signals, has advantages of simpler operation, smaller error, higher precision, and easier function expansion, thus it can be widely used in radar testing field.
