Interaction System Between The Police And The Citizen Based On LBS

With the gradual upgrade and perfection of communication network and smart phone, mobile internet will become the powerful backing to safeguard social stability and offer convenience and benefits to citizens. The forms of seeking for help when encountering danger are in constant change. However, there is no good measures to realize the convenience of calling the nearest police on duty or the community police from point to point. The changes over police situation for several times tend to delay the optimal timing of the rescue, even lead to serious loss. Based on modern technology, the rescue system not only can contact the nearest police on duty through the mobile application client, but also can send several polices to support the rescue by the backing command center in management system at the same time. The rescue system is a new working way for the police derived from the process of development of the new environment.This paper presents a police-citizen interaction system, which integrates the Android technology, LBS application development technology and web services technology. It consists of the police client, public client, background command center and server. The main work of this paper lies in the design and implementation of two Android client applications and the demonstration of the Web interface. The police client realizes the functions of verification of landing, accepting of help requests, checking of the handling cases, ending of the cases and the browsing of historical records. The public client has the functions of registering and logining, sending help requests, viewing the processing schedule, evaluating services and security notification. Thus, the police on duty and the general public can contact thorough client. The workflow of this system consists of the following steps:(1)when subjected to a dangerous situation, people can send for help information in the form of text, images, and voices;(2) the nearest police on duty can choose to accept the requests for help, then both the police and the public will get the information of each other;(3) the police deals with the cases when arriving in the incident scene, once completed, the police will judge whether the task is a false alarm, and end case.(4) the public can evaluate the police's service. The web command center is mainly used to arrange police to support the rescue so as to handle the request in time. The presence of the server makes it possible that the data can be exchanged among the police client, the public client, background command center. It is responsible for data storage and dealing with all kinds of user's requests.This paper makes a detailed introduction about the relevant background, and the design of each function module in services software based on Android location. It describes the technical problems encountered in the process of system development and its solutions. Finally, the whole system is tested completely. At the same time, possible improvements for the system are proposed.
