The original workspace Measuring and Positioning System's power system is relatively weak in terms of mechanical structure and functional applications. To compensate for these shortcomings, this paper studies the design of a new power control box. The optimization of the mechanical structure design makes it possible for the quick fixing up of the transmitting station. Also, by introducing the wireless control and improving communication protocol, the new controller can monitor the condition of the measurement system in real time accurately. This paper carries out a detailed analysis of the mechanical structure and the circuit design, simultaneously conducts in-depth research on the wireless communications and control procedures.Wireless networking and protocol verification program are proposed. The details are as follows:1. According to the original power box's shortage when applied in the industrial field, new optimized structure and quick locking device are studied. These lead to the optimization of the entire measurement system.2. According to the new control functions added to the new power control box, a hardware platform which takes the chip of ARM7 as the core is built. And in the latter,micro operating system is successfully loaded in the platform, achieving the remote control to the transmitting station. This paper also analyzes the details of the experimental tests on the circuit board.3. Taking into account the complexity of industrial measurement site and after comparison of a variety of communication modes, RS485 communication mode is eventually adopted. Based on the communication, communication program with its own protocol is carefully designed.4. CRC8 check mode is added in the communication program and this paper has done detailed experimental demonstrations on it. This way enables stable and low-error-rate program control to the transmitting station.5. The new power control box introduces wireless WIFI module and this can help host computer control transmitting station in the distance, then the host computer can monitor the transmitting station's state and can know the speed or the internal reference amount at any time.
