Under the background of market economy, the customer's purchasing power and demand for services are rising.In order to gain a competitive advantage, improve organizational performance,the idea of people-oriented, customer-focused strategic thought have got much recognition and popularity in various economic organizations.As non-profit organization of knowledge intensive, university libraries are faced with the fierce competition in the different universities, whether it can improve teachers and students' satisfaction, making continuous innovation, perfecting the teaching scientific research service function or not, primarily depends on the discretion of the university library organization performance. At present, due to various historical reasons, university library are losing energy. In the face of increasingly severe competition, university library must change the traditional pattern as soon as possible,focus on promoting the efficiency of the organization and the reader satisfaction to enhance university library organization performance.Through the method of literature study and expert evaluation, combining the theory of balanced score card and the competing value framework, the author developed our country's university library organization performance measurement model and constructed the questionnaire of university library organization performance, which consists five dimensions that are customer orientation, employee orientation, organizational innovation, library performance, environmental uncertaintyThrough the questionnaire and statistical analysis methods, the author had surveyed 24 universities library in Jiangxi province. By means of correlation analysis,monadic linear regression analysis and stepwise regression analysis and other methods, to analysis the reader orientation, organizational innovation, employee orientation, environmental uncertainty and the complicated relationship between university library organization performance.Results showed that the higher the four dimensions is, the higher the level of university library organizational performance. Organizational innovation is the intermediary factor between the reader orientation and the organization performance.According to the results, the author puts forward the countermeasures from four aspects: university library should base on readers' demand, establish the reader servicefeedback system and personalized information service model; improve the ability of librarians' professional quality and service, perfect performance evaluation system,build a reasonable structure of compound talent team; promote the innovation service and culture; perfect facilities, system construction, and security order.
