| With the development of mass media, various kinds of TV programs boost in the field of television industry. But the rich and colorful creative products also bring us a lot of new challenges and problems which taken as heated research field of related scholars. As adolescents are a special audience group of TV programs, both the advantages and disadvantages of television programs are of great importance for its impacts on human development in a certain society. As a result of this, more and more scholars in this field choose to focus on the relationship between adolescents and TV programs. This focus is not only on those who are the major audience of kids'TV programs but also on the influence of kids' mental and physical health based on the mainstream kids'TV programs.The reason why children and adolescents choose to watch TV, how a TV program influences their mutuality as well as the basic rules of those kind of TV programs are the spotlights in kids'TV programs field.Children's TV programs are special because of its special features of its audience. TV programs should meet the demands of kids and adolescents'development in a certain society. Furthermore, they have to be the mass media guide and educator of those audience. The problem is how to make a balance between demands of proper kids'TV programs and educational function of mass media.Researches in the field of mass media and education started at 1990s. Chinese scholars began to realize the effects of mass media on people's life, so they focused on the medium of the masses and some negative impacts of children's physical and mental development. In order to go deeper with this, many scholars focus on the exploration of those correlations. In my opinion, we need more relevant analysis and certain reference significance to kids'TV program producers. Thus, we could gain more positive influences on Chinese adolescents from the field of TV industry.CCTV has always been the most crucial platform of kids' TV program and it has set up the CCTV Kids'Channel to meet the audience market of Chinese kids. The transition from programs to a channel shows us the progresses have been made on multiple aspects, such as content of programs, techniques of production, etc. This study will focus on the experience and challenges of CCTV Kids' Channel, which takes the leading point of Chinese kid's TV production, both its success and flaws will definitely provide us with significant and practical strategies of Chinese TV industry.Based on CCTV Kids' Channel, this study will start with the basic theories of related fields and go through with educational and introductory functions of Chinese kid's programs. In addition, the problems of how to implement educational function in our country children's television program and the existing researches will be taken into consideration as well. Hopefully, a set of practical coping strategies could be put forward as the result of this study. |
