Faced to its improving business management demand, Shanghai Electrical Power Company is developing a power grid resource information management system for its overall business. Based on different departments' own management information systems, this system's development establishes information management function for the company's overall business running. It also provides overall business running decision support capability based on the integrated information management of the company's general resources.This system includes overall resource information management and transaction management. Information management is the foundation of transaction management. This thesis focuses on discussing the software design and implementation of this overall power grid maintenance resource information management system. The main functions include power grid equipment resource/asset information management function, power grid resource distribution information management function which combined with two-dimension information, operation equipment and instrument meter information management function, and all operations' standard information and quality information management function.This software uses mature and reliable multi-level structure. It uses interactive graphic environment at users end to display different view charts. In middle level of the software, it has many functional modules which include overall resource view chart generation module, equipment resource/asset information management module, t grid resource distribution information management module and instrument/meter resource management module.This system's background is database server, which manages transactional data and two-dimension space distribution data. The software is developed by.NET technology frame and SQL SERVER database. The system has finished all testing, and reaches stable running status.
