Along with the social from all walks of life to the growing interest in the field of education, national strength increasing of education teaching reform. The number of rooms each campus education industry gradually increase. Campus computer equipment within the room configuration is higher and higher, the education teaching oriented service content is more diverse, software, hardware structures, the technical environment is more and more complex. Thus to equipment, sites, personnel, management level have a higher demand. Campus housing is often not only should meet the needs of daily education teaching activities, also have both training and examination of business for many times. So, in the process of computer room management, billing, statistical work of the great clock parts. This requires that we developed a set of perfect computer room management system, can realize the real-time control of the machine, and has the function of safe, reliable and efficient for the majority of students build a good computer room environment.In this paper, a new management system has been developed aiming at the specific situation of our university after a thorough study of the existing university computer room management systems. This management system is designed, based on the platform of campus network using a three-tier client/server model. After a detailed analysis of the functional and performance requirements of the management system, and the key technologies in the development process, the design scheme of our system is proposed. It performs service processing using Visual C++integrated development tools, manages database with compact and efficient MySQL language, and implements programming with Winsock, which is based on the TCP/IP protocol. Our system achieves the following anticipated aims:The authentication method of this system is based on account information. Both account number and password are necessary for registered students to login on a computer in the computer room, but may not be necessary in case of training other non-students. The cost information will be calculated and displayed when the user logout his/ her account. The system can implement the designed schedule automatically and save all relevant records for statistical analysis and inquiries.Our management system, which has a friendly interface, is easy to install and operate. The utilization of this system can standardize and systematize the management of computer rooms at relative low cost, facilitate the computer operation for students, and reduce the labor intensity of administration. After repetitive testing, this system has been proved to achieve the design requirements and it currently operates well in our university.
