The Study On The Professionalism Of Television Journalists In All Media Era

We are entering an era in which the traditional media and the new media are merging as well as competing with each other, and we call it All Media Era. In All Media Era, both the rapid development of media environment and technique and the fast update of traditional way to disseminate information make traditional media face up to an overwhelming impact.Television, as a typical traditional media, is either willing or forced to try to make an All Media transformation. TV journalists play a key role during this process, whether the occupation accomplishment of TV journalists, such as professional skills?consciousness, can transform successfully determines the transformation of Television. Meanwhile, it also has an effect on how the TV news can contribute to construct Socialist modernization and help to guide public opinion as well as enrich people's cultural life. In addition, whether our Country can build a Country image of responsibility and tell good Chinese story to the world when we are actively playing a part in international affairs also relies on the occupation accomplishment of TV journalists.This study combines the “All Media” background with the professionalism of TV journalists, trying to discuss the influence of All Media transformation on TV news and TV journalists as well as the higher requirement compared with traditional TV journalists caused by the transformation. By the way of questionnaire, this study gets the current situation and issue of TV journalists' occupation accomplishment. Based on these findings and with the help of theories about All Media, this study attempts to propose some effective suggests on improving the occupation accomplishment of TV journalists in order to enhance Chinese TV news' s credibility among the audiences and the competitiveness among the mass media around the world.The first part, as the background of the essay, explains the notion of All Media and the features of All Media. The second part aims to analyze the motive force of All Media transformation of TV and introduce the developing process of it. By the case study of CCTV,this essay tries to show the main mode of TV's All Media transformation—interaction between TV station and network. The third part attempts to conclude the normal requirements on TV journalists. The forth part tries to put forward the content of TV journalists' occupation accomplishment in All Media Era and analyze the reasons for TV journalists' shortcomings which is found by the questionnaire survey. The last part attempts to put forward somerelevant suggestions on how to improve TV journalists' occupation accomplishment based on all the findings in the essay and the theories of journalism and communication.
