In recent years, image fusion technology has become a research focus in domestic and abroad. Image fusion refers to the proper treatment of the fusion image the information of multiple sensors, the fused image contains the source image information, can obtain more accurate, more reliable, more comprehensive image information, which is more beneficial to human's recognition and computer. And the study of the fusion of infrared and visible images is one of the hot issues in the study of image fusion at present, this thesis regards this as the starting point, around the fusion of infrared image and CCD image, has designed a portable image fusion system based on ARM+FPGA.According to the demand of the system, this thesis designs the overall scheme of the system, based on ARM + FPGA hardware platform, and completed the hardware schematic design and PCB design of the system, including infrared sensor drive circuit, CCD sensor driving circuit and LCD interface circuit etc.. This thesis also completes the software design of the system, including the embedded system transplantation, SD card driver, infrared sensor and CCD sensor driver and LCD driver etc. Before the image fusion,infrared image need the calculation of the image preprocessing algorithm, including infrared gray image generation, image interpolation, pseudo color coding. According to the characteristics of FPGA, this thesis uses the ping-pong operation and the pipeline structure to realize the real-time image fusion system, designs the overall structure of the Laplace image fusion algorithm based on FPGA, and completes the design of each function module of the Pyramid fusion algorithm.Finally, this thesis carried out experiments on the system, the experimental results show that the algorithm is designed to meet functional requirements, the system fusion effect is better, this system has high application value.
