Research On The Publishing Industry Of China And The US Based On The Industry Self-regulation

The publication industry association is the product of the industry development and progress to a certain stage. Realizing the industry self-regulation management is the purpose and destination of the industry association. Industry associations to achieve internal self-management and self restraint, is beneficial to promoting the sustainable development of publishing industry.This paper is divided into six chapters, of which three, four,five and six chapters are the main parts of the article. In the second chapter, the meanings of Industry Association and self-discipline, the function of Industry Association in the industry self-regulation management are discussed. The third and fourth chapter, from many Chinese and American Publishing Industry Associations, I select the Publishers Association of China and the Association of American Publishers, using literature analysis and comparative study of law to conduct a comprehensive analysis, to find different aspects such as the organization frame structure, members of the mechanism, the functions of industry self-discipline management. The fifth chapter is the comparative analysis of self-discipline management measures, features and effects. The measures are: the exchange of industry information, the survey conducted, the development of industry standards, the formulation of the publishing industry self-regulation, the image of the industry maintaining, on behalf of members of the legitimate rights and interests, Awards taking and training. The features are industry constraint, flexibility and spontaneity. The sixth chapter of the article is combined with the actual situation in our country, to explore the the future development of the Publishers Association of China, and drawing three enlightenments: the full implementation of the three major functions of the association, safeguard the interests of the industry and construct supervision and punishment mechanism.
