With the continuous expansion of the network, the user demands for network stability is getting higher and higher. MPLS technology can achieve fast forward, has the characteristics of high reliability. Therefore, MPLS technology attract more and more people’s attention. Label Distribution Protocol is a control signaling protocol, designed for MPLS,used to dynamically distribute labels, establish and maintain the forwarding path. This paper design and implementation of MPLS system’s label distribution module based on LDP protocol. This paper discusses the application of the LDP in MPLS technology and MPLS label distribution module specific implementation process. First, the MPLS system’s label distribution module needs analysis and research, based this designed the module. The MPLS system’s label distribution module are divided into four sub-function modules, divided into multi-instance supported sub-module, session negotiation sub-module, the label advertisement sub-module, graceful restart sub-module.This paper introduces the design and implementation of each module in details. We use networking test method, simulate real application environment testing the functional of the label distribution module. And also use of advanced testing equipment, into a large number of routing and flow did the system performance test. Through details data proved the reliability and stability of this label distribution module. At present, the MPLS system’s label distribution module has passed the test center’s strict functional and performance identify, provides label distribution function for the MPLS system. The system has been successfully deployed on the router, and achieved good economic.
