MPLS Traffic Engineering (TE) is a technology to combine MPLS with Traffic Engineering, MPLS TE provides effective guarantee for bandwidth and means to deploy flux. The paper introduces principle and four components of MPLS TE, then explains the basic algorithm and protocol. Next, the paper introduces how to come true MPLS TE, and analyzes Minimum Interference Routing Algorithm (MIRA), discusses how to improve it. A new bandwidth constraint mechanism MRM will be presented in order to reduce congestion and imporve utilization of bandwidth. Finally, the article analyzes how to apply MPLS TE to practice.
