Multi-Node Computer System is the future development direction of computer system, sharing the hardware resource between the different computer nodes has become the essential attribute and the inevitable requirement in the developing of computer system in the future.Therefore, researching how to implementation of sharing the remote node hardware resource between computer nodes ha s become an important direction of development of the future computer system. Based on this background, this paper proposes a new method of sharing remote node networking resources. By extension on-chip system bus between the different nodes, to realize sharing remote node networking resources.On-chip bus is high bandwidth and low latency bus, and the local processor can access all peripherals and memory controller on chip using the on-chip bus.This method uses the bus extension logic and the expansion of the high-speed serial transceiver, realizes the extension of the on-chip bus between computer nodes, without changing the bus structure and protocol. And implements on-chip bus interconnection and sharing hardware resources between the nodes.Based on this method, the local processor can direct access to the remote node networking resources, in terms of access and local networking resources without any difference, fully realized the remote hardware resources sharing transparency and equality. for example, in order to share the remote node’s network adapter resources, using Vivado development environment and the FPGA platform to build a prototype system for the sharing the remote network card, and realized the Linaro operating system transplantation on the prototype system, complete the local and remote network adapter configuration of link aggregation based on the Linux kernel, makes the prototype system and remote network adapter can be used by the real application software.Deploys Iperf/Mediastreaming and such applications on the prototype system, evaluate the performance of the local/remote network adapter and dual network adapters link aggregation on the prototype system and make a performance analysis.Through the performance results can validate the feasibility and value of the method, make a summary and outlook of this article, analyzed the application prospect and further plan of this method.
