Research On The Technology Of High-Speed And Massive Data Storage

It's usually required to take a precise record of the SDH signal over the 2.5Gb/s SDH trunk line network for a long period to make preparation for latter data-analysis. To meet the target, on the basis of the intensive research on the hard disk and RAID, the thesis mainly studies the method to implement the technology of storage using RAID based on the SCSI protocol. Further more, a scheme to realize the high-speed data storage based on a sever RAID that is PCI Express structure is proposed. The main contents of this thesis include:1. The technologies of massive data storage are introduced briefly from the medium and the modes of storage at first. Then the research status and the technology level of the high-speed and massive data storage in our country are also analyzed.2. The structure and some key guidelines of the hard disk are analyzed in details and the principle of the RAID technology is lucubrated. The factors of impacting the performance of RAID0 are also analyzed intensively. It is prepared for a further research on the realization of massive data storage based on RAID.3. On the basis of deep studying of the SCSI bus, the realization of the storage system based on the SCSI protocol is introduced in details. The thesis analyzed the realization of the hardware particularly and discussed the design of software of writing into the hard disk by SCSI bus. At last the thesis analyzed the performance of the system. It also found the bottle-neck and provided the solution to improve it.4. Based on the studying of the PCI Express bus, another scheme of massive data storage using RAID based on the PCI Express bus has been proposed. The thesis analyzes the method to realize the high-speed route communication between the two equipments in details. And the performance of every model is analyzed intensively at last.
