In recent years, with the rapid development of computer science and technology, LIMS(Laboratory Information Management System) has been increasingly mature and completely commercialized.And the introduction of LIMS technology makes very great influence on the management and technology application in many domestic enterprises and universities. However, due to the small scale and dispersity of many laboratories in domestic universities and institute, LIMS is not widely used yet. Especially for the materials science and chemical laboratory, ordinary LIMS is unable to meet the demand of the safe and effective management for chemical agents.Based on the development status, the research target of the thesis is focused on the developing of a new LIMS system for material chemistry laboratory. By analyzeing the basic functional requirements of the current materials chemistry laboratory, and combining with the technology of LIMS,we designed and developed a comprehensive new LIMS system, which is suitable for those related laboratories.First,we introduced the research background of this system and the current research status In detail,and then performed the demand analysis for its design and the study of the development technical requirements. Ultimately,we designed the system into three basic framework: the PC LIMS software; embedded terminal control software and reagent storage tank. Technically we used C# programming language as the PC LIMS software development language by combing the Mysql databases;and TQ2440 development board which is Based on ARM9 core S3C2440 processor as an embedded hardware running platform,and the embedded Linux as the embedded system, QT and C language as the GUI design and the embedded driver development separately;UG as storage tank entity modeling tool.Then, combining with the design requirements of demand analysis,we designed the major functional modules of this system detailly and specifically,and analyzed the nine main function module of thd PC LIMS software, the four modules of the embedded system and the design of the storage tank and its circuit requirements,system overall design thought and framework etc respectively.Finally,we completed all our design and development work of each module from the PC to the embedded terminal to the storage tank, and introduced the software system development environment and its deployment in detail?Through the trial operation of this system,the laboratory manager can timely understand the students' information, view their daily attendance status,understand the status of the laboratory instrument and reagent usage,and can control the usage of high risk or expensive reagents strictly and so on.The students can quickly understand the laboratory condition, smoothly and accurately find experimental reagents through paperless record and can arrange experiment effectively,all of those show that it improves the efficiency for the whole material chemistry lab greatly.
