Design And Implementation Of Laboratory Information Management System In Certain Bio-breeding Center

Since mankind entered the information time, the quality of life and social production and the level of scientific research and technology improved rapidly, and with the explosive increase in the popularity of computers and information, the impact of information on the social life and production gradually increased to an absolutely important role, All walks of life especially the field of scientific research has more and more urgent needs in the speed of getting data and efficiency of data processing. It is said that the building of laboratory is the core component of scientific research and the process of data collection and analysis process are basically done in the laboratory. With the continuous development of technology, the increase of the amount of projects to be analyzed and the upgrading of the experimental equipment of the laboratory, the amount of data to be analyzed is increasing sharply, so the traditional data collection and analysis methods can barley meet the demand of the lab. It is possible to construct and apply information systems with the maturity of information technology now and the management method to complete the data collection, analysis and processing by computer is emerging because of it. Gradually it extended to the management of laboratory equipment, supplies, people, rules, plans and so on, which is the prototype of laboratory information management system (LIMS).According to the function of laboratory information management system, it can be defined as:consist of computer hardware and application software, which is to complete the collection of laboratory data and information, analysis, reporting and based on local area network. It is designed specifically for the overall environment of the laboratory which is a efficient integration system including signal acquisition equipments, data communications software and database management software. It is laboratory-center and combining the laboratory’s business processes, environment, personnel, equipment, standard material standard solution, chemical reagents, standards, methods, books, documentation, research management, project management and customer management together organically. LIMS begins to play a more and more important part in improving the overall level of analysis laboratory and operation efficiency.The paper first introduces the background and the source of this issue and the status of the research and application at home and abroad. Then it describes the overall needs and processes of this project. At last it draws the system architecture and the required hardware and software environment, and then it is given that the specific implementation process of the core functionality of the design, the final chapter I draw a summary and outlook.Overall, this paper completed the whole process of the design, the customized service and the implementation of China National Seed Group, Wuhan biological breeding center laboratory information management system. It provides a solution of the laboratory information management system, and it points out that some contents and mistakes should be paid attention to of the implementation process of laboratory information system.
