Medical image visualization system has realized the Medical image digitization and informatization. But, at present most of the Medical image visualization system is based on C/S architecture, while must install the corresponding software on the Client side, so deployment is trouble,not easy to expand, and the cost of maintenance is high. In recent years, with the rapid development of remote diagnosis and regional health, the shortcoming of Medical image visualization system which is based on C/S architecture is obvious.In recent years, with the development of AJAX, HTML5, more and more system adopts B/S architecture. But at this stage the medical image visualization system which is based on B/S architecture needs install plug-in in the browser, and the functions is limited which mainly is basic 2D display, processing,and unable to meet the requirements of rapid diagnosis.In order to solve the above problems, this paper designed and implemented a medical image visualization system which is based on Web. In this paper the system is divided into 2D visualization module and 3D visualization module. Considering vary wide of computation, 2D visualization module adopt the idea of front processing front display to design, 3D visualization module adopt the idea of the back processing front display to design. On the whole, System can be divided into: UI, Web server, 3D rendering server and database server. Database server storage 2D image, provide DICOM images of the patient for doctor. Web server implement confused business requirements, include 2D workflow, 3D workflow, patient list, report writing, print and film print. 3D rendering server mainly includes 3D medical image processing engine(algorithms library), process management, 3D application services and so on. UI is based on HTML/CSS3/ JavaScript, considering multiple browser compatibility, following the responsive design, providing portable, leading user interface. This system realize zero client and whole platform which improve the user experience and reduce maintenance costs.This system transmit image based on the DICOM3.0 and the WADO protocol, reflect the openness, conform the standards of hospital information system. This system has realized the 2D image display, processing, drawing of CT positioning line, VR, MPR, and a variety of 3D interactive function,which meet the demand of the doctor's fast and exact diagnosis. In addition, This system reduce the pressure of the client, reduce the requirement of client hardware system, achieve a distributed system and cross-platform extension,implements the synchronization, and prepare the technology for remote consultation and Regional medical.
