It is well-known that IoT as a new wave of the global information industry has become a new engine of global economic development. China actively promote the development of IoT as a strategy of future development. In the foreseeable future, IoT will become a trillion-dollar industry. Since IoT is a network to connect objects, and there is a large amount of data constantly communicated inside. Using ordinary mode to storage and computing the large amount of data can not meet the demand, and also restrict the development of IoT technology.Hadoop is a distributed platform developed by the Apache Foundation. It provides a cloud platform which has high-speed computing power and mass storage for users. Due to its high fault tolerance, and designed to be deployed on inexpensive hardware, and providing high-throughput of data access, Hadoop can provide technical support for IoT to store and compute massive data. Its first appearance has obtained a broad sustainment and has been wildly used by various well-known companies.This thesis chooses Hadoop platform and applies it to the IoT of bridge, which can achieve the reliability, rapidity and effectiveness storage of mass data. First, this thesis designs the overall scheme of bridge IoT based on Hadoop, not only on the overall structure of IoT but also on IoT each layer. Second, this thesis is applied HBase to store mass data on Hadoop, and MapReduce framework to computing these data in parallel, and optimizes the job to computing data. Last, this thesis complies the application of bridge IoT, including the software of bridge monitor system and manual inspection system for Android.Research on health monitoring of the bridge IoT based on the Hadoop has stronger practicability, and reference for other complex industrial monitoring systems. The addition of smart mobile devices makes the system more real-time and intelligent than former bridge monitoring system. What's more the combination of IoT and Hadoop makes this system better to store and computing mass data. This research provides a new way for IoT system, and illustrates the feasibility of the combination between cloud platform and IoT.
