Design And Implementation Of History Modeling Tool Based On Meta Edit+

The codification of historical works is short for historiography. At present, the historiography is mainly codified by historians, but the means of codification is still very primitive. In the traditional codification practice, historians integrate relevant historical data and literature after collecting a certain historical and literature. Ultimately, they describe the history through words. The characteristics of theis process are those which lack a unified and recognized codification process and method, which do not have a detailed definition and classification or no relatively uniform and standardized processes for the "codification process", which emphasize the integration of the work repeatedly and which lack or do not have a high level of "professional" auxiliary tool.In order to facilitate the historians to compile history, we found auxiliary tool for historiography by using computer technology to help historians go ahead their work. This thesis brings the thought of modeling into historiography field, studies history modeling tool, explores model-driven historiography methods, has a realistic significance.This thesis tries to explore the historiography method based on computer technology at a higher level, and think historical works are essentially some history models which are described related events, characters, contexts, articles in the specific world and the relationship between them. History is the presentation of history, and the codification of historical works is history modeling. Then the language used in history modeling is called history modeling language. Using the successful experience of software and data base field, we think the codification of historical works is divided into conceptual model, logical model and physical model from the abstract to the concrete. And history conceptual model is one of the basic platform independent models, which can transform to related platform dependent models. This thesis focuses on the history conceptual model.This thesis is based on Narratology, separates the stages of historiography and modeling them, explores a model-driven historiography method. Define history conceptual model and design abstract syntax, concrete syntax and semantics of history modeling language by using metamodeling tool MetaEdit+. The thesis also uses the metametamodel tool, GOPPRR, to realize history metamadel, which based on history modeling language. Design and implement a preliminary graphical history modeling tool by using MetaEdit+.
