Now,with the development of computer technology,PC cluster rapid development in aviation,defense,meteorology and other high-performance computing fields,particularly in the field of oil exploration seismic data processing,play an increasingly important role.However,for a large-scale computing center,facing multiple sets,and numerous different architectures and thousands of PC cluster nodes rely on manual methods to scientific and effective management and monitoring is almost impossible.Without a unified performance monitoring software,it is difficult to fully monitor the various sets of PC cluster system running,thus affecting the overall performance of the cluster.This study was completed based in hardware architecture of the Daqing Geophysical Company Research Institute processing center.In view of the existing 4 sets of different manufacturers,different hardware architecture of PC cluster to within a window interface unified monitoring of all nodes running status of technical problems,by detailed analysis and in-depth research,and using C++ language and QT tools,wrote and developed the monitoring system.Firstly,this paper analyzes the characteristics of PC cluster and nodes,define key performance index is presented,including CPU,memory,disk and network of PC cluster nodes;secondly,design the PC cluster monitoring system architecture,this architecture uses the C/S structure,including the front display system and the background of the collection system,the main goal of background is collected monitoring key data of the node;and then transmitted to the front desk,analysing data and graphical display.Then study key technology for monitoring system of data collection,storage,transmission and so on,through the/proc file in the Linux operating system gets the running processes and other types of data,using XML data is stored,using UDP protocol as the monitoring data transmission protocol;finally,through data collection,storage,transmission,analysis and dynamic display technology,to realize the dynamic monitoring multi framework PC cluster,in a unified interface,performance data real-time,dynamic monitoring of multiple sets of different architecture of PC cluster,each node of the CPU,memory,disk and network of key parts,can understand the operation state,the set of PC cluster system at the same time,abnormal situation the key components of the computer to provide accurate,real-time alarm function,maintenance and management to better the set of PC cluster,improve cluster utilization and overall performance plays a crucial role.The system has been used in the four sets(six group)PC cluster of Daqing Geophysical Company Research Institute processing center,the application effect is good.
