Research On Problems Of Pupils In Higher Grades Attending Private Supplementary English Tutoring In Suqian S Primary School

Private supplementary tutoring has two meanings.One is teachers in school give students additional compulsory education or instruction after class and the other is teachers out of school give students paid education or introduction after school.The author use the second meaning in this paper.At present,it is very common that pupils attend private supplementary tutoring especially for English.Therefore,as an English teacher,the author made a research on problems of pupils in higher grades attending private supplementary English tutoring in Suqian S primary school by using the methods of documentary,questionnaire and interviewing.Through systematic research,the author thinks that there are four problems.They are heavier burden on pupils' learning,higher dependence on pupils' learning,more difficulty in English teachers' teaching and family financial burden.There are five reasons for these problems.They are parents' obvious conformity,their educational level and limited time,English teachers' dull teaching method and heavy teaching task and great difficulty in English test of a few high quality junior high school.For these above problems and reasons,the author put forward countermeasures in four aspects.For parents,they should set concept of children's sustainable development and treat private supplementary English tutoring reasonably.For English teachers,they should use flexible and diverse teaching methods and attach great importance to stratified teaching.For S school,they should control class size strictly,arrange English teachers' teaching work reasonably and organize abundant English activities for English teachers and pupils.For educational administration,they should make English teachers direct contact with those who had been trained in English countries,solve the lack of English teachers and regulate the enrollment of junior high school strictly.
