Research On Countermeasures Of Promoting The Employment Of Undergraduates In Guangdong Province

China’s higher education is about to enter the stage of popularization with the number of college graduates still growing slowly every year.The problem of difficulties in employment for college graduates has become increasingly prominent and even a universally concerned social issue.Having problems such as unclear employment orientation and outstanding employment structural conflicts,college graduates have become the “hardest” group of employment,which the data show.At present,the employment of college graduates basically depends on the internal employment guiding institutions in school yet the function of local government in promoting the employment of college graduates is not enough.Based on combing Chinese and western theories about employment,this article clarifies the boundary of responsibility of local government in the employment of college graduates.Through literature reading,investigating and visiting,questionnaire issuing,cases analyzing,etc.,the problems of the employment status of college graduates and governmental measures of intervention in Guangdong Province are found: talent supply-side reform is insufficient,market construction is imperfect,employment guidance is inadequate,employment satisfaction is low,etc.After analyzing the causes of the problems deeply and drawing on relevant domestic and foreign advanced experiences,this article puts forward the methods for the government of Guangdong Province to promote the employment of college graduates comprehensively:promoting the reform of talent cultivation of local colleges,guiding the graduates to set up correct concept of employment,building accurate employment platforms,perfecting the mechanism of internship,expanding the scope of governmental services,etc.The research of this article will provide a reliable theoretical basis for clarifying the intervention of local government in the employment of undergraduates and the suggestions for the government of Guangdong Province to promote full and high-quality employment of college graduates.
